Creative Minds

WHAT IS CREATIVE MINDS?

Creative Minds Youth Contest by Intercultural Dialogue Institute Ottawa promotes creativity and literary engagement among high school students, emphasizing cultural diversity, respect for faiths, peaceful coexistence, and social justice.

Creative Minds encourages high school students to channel their talents into creative outcomes in four categories: art, poetry, short video, and social contribution projects.

GOALS

The Creative Minds Youth Contest (formerly the Art and Essay Contest) is a collaboration between the Intercultural Dialogue Institute and local school boards in the National Capital Region. It invites high school students (grades 9-12) to participate in four categories: art, poetry, short video, and social contribution project.

The contest promotes reflection on topics like cultural diversity, respect, peaceful coexistence, and social justice, encouraging students from all backgrounds to creatively express their ideas. It also supports building healthy reading habits and enhancing literacy.
