On the evening of February 15th, 2023, the Intercultural Dialogue Institute Ottawa Center played host to an unforgettable fundraising dinner in support of its programs and initiatives. The event drew a diverse crowd of over 100 guests, including community leaders, elected officials, and devoted supporters from various cultural backgrounds.
The evening kicked off with a vibrant cocktail reception, offering guests a chance to mingle and connect with one another. The institute’s president extended a warm welcome, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support and participation. Following the reception, attendees were seated to savor a delicious three-course dinner, featuring a mouth-watering assortment of international cuisines.
As we gather to enjoy the food, we also coming together in support of those affected by recent devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The Canadian Red Cross and Northern Light Relief Foundation has partnered with the institute to provide emergency support and help to those affected by the earthquakes.
Throughout the evening, attendees were captivated by a series of video and cultural presentations, showcasing the diversity and richness of our communities. Esteemed speakers also took to the stage, sharing their insights on the significance of intercultural dialogue and cooperation, as well as the immense impact of natural disasters on vulnerable communities.
Thanks to the boundless generosity of the guests, the fundraiser dinner was a resounding success, raising a considerable sum of funds for the institute’s ongoing work.
